Algerian tanker loses speed in Sea of Marmara

The 274 meter long Algerian "Ramdane Abane" tanker carrying liquefied natural gas from Algeria to Turkey lost speed in the Sea of Marmara, the Turkish news agency Anadolu reported Oct. 27.

The 274 meter long Algerian "Ramdane Abane" tanker carrying liquefied natural gas from Algeria to Turkey lost speed in the Sea of Marmara, the Turkish news agency Anadolu reported Oct. 27.

Unknown technical problems are cited as the cause.

Rescue vessels have appeared in the area of the tanker's location to tow it into the port.
