Kazakhstan and China strengthen mutual cooperation. The first production of joint ventures between the two countries has already started to enter internal and external markets.
"Kazakhstan provides all the necessary conditions for the foreign companies, and we appreciate it. The cement plant, built jointly by Kazakhstan and China has been put into operation," said He Cheng, the representative of the Chinese Shaanxi province in Kazakhstan, Kazakh media outlets reported.
He added that the freight turnover between the countries increased by 18 percent, compared to the previous year, and that the opening of the Xian-Almaty flight allowed to increase tourism turnover between the countries.
Presently, the both sides are also focused on developing cooperation in the food industry. The implementation of these projects is supported by the Kazakh "Nurly Zhol" program and the Chinese "One belt, one way" initiative.
"The potential of Kazakhstan in the agro-industrial sector is huge. Currently we are at the second stage of construction of greenhouses in the Kazakhstan’s agricultural park. Presumably, the project will be put into operation as early as next year. This shows that Kazakhstan and China have stepped up their inter-regional ties," Cheng said.
The trade turnover between Kazakhstan and China this year has increased by 31 percent. The volume of exports of Kazakh goods to China amounted to $3.5 billion, and imports of Chinese products to Kazakhstan amounted to $3 billion.
