Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Vice President of Mitsubishi Corporation Hiroshi Sakuma and President of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Engineering Ltd. Shigehisa Kobayashi, the Turkmen government said in a message.
The meeting was also attended by Chairman of Calik Holding Ahmet Calik.
Expressing the desire of companies to work in the Turkmen market, the businessmen presented for the Turkmen president’s consideration a number of proposals prepared considering the development priorities of Turkmenistan.
During the discussion, the main emphasis was placed on the possibility of applying the developments of well-known companies in the implemented joint projects, the message said.
Noting the significant role of representatives of business circles of Japan and Turkey in the successful implementation of programs on progressive social and economic development of Turkmenistan, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted the presence of great potential for enhancing cooperation.
The companies took part in implementation of a large-scale project to build a major gas chemical complex in Garabogaz City of the Balkan Province of Turkmenistan, which was commissioned on Sept. 17.
