Ukraine to buy Azerbaijani wine on a regular basis

Azerbaijan’s Az-Granata LLC, which produces alcoholic beverages has started the delivery of wine to Ukraine on a regular basis, the director of the company's alcohol production Vugar Mikayilov told Trend on Sept. 26.

"The next batch of alcoholic beverages has been sent to Ukraine just recently. The cost of exported products within this batch is about $30,000-35,000," Mikayilov said.

According to the director, the company will also start deliveries to Japan in the near future.

"We have already sent a test batch of our wine to Japan. Japanese consumers liked the taste. Negotiations on the establishment of regular supplies of our high-grade wine to Japan are coming to an end," Mikayilov added.

At the same time, negotiations are underway to supply Az-Granata products to South America, the director added.

Az-Granata was established in 2011. The company supplies its products to 30 countries, including the US, Canada, countries of the CIS, Europe and the Middle East.

In January-August 2018, Azerbaijan exported alcoholic and other beverages worth $9.365 million, imported - $58.672 million.
