Trade turnover of Uzbekistan, China amounts to $2.55B in 2019

For four months of 2019, China accounted for one-fifth of Uzbekistan’s foreign trade turnover with $2.55 billion (exports totaled $1.12 billion, imports - $1.42 billion), Trend reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.

The analysis shows that China has become the main consumer of energy and petroleum products from Uzbekistan.

In January-April of this year, these kinds of products were exported for $510.5 million - with a double increase over the same period last year.

China is still the number one exporter of machinery and equipment to Uzbekistan.

Since the beginning of this year, exports of machinery and equipment to Uzbekistan exceeded $948.9 million.

The second important commodity item of Chinese exports to Uzbekistan is chemical products and products made from it, the export of which amounted to $223.8 million.

State Statistics Committee reported that in January-April 2019, Uzbekistan conducted trade relations with more than 154 countries of the world.

The foreign trade turnover of the country for four months amounted to $12.571 billion and increased by $2.485 billion, which is 24.6 percent more than the corresponding period of last year.

Of this number, exports reached $5.256 billion (growth rate - 14.3 percent), and imports - $7.314 billion (growth rate - 33.3 percent).

The foreign trade balance amounted to minus $2.058 billion.

In January-April 2019, the number of enterprises engaged in the export of goods, compared to the same period last year, increased by 479 units, and their total number reached 3,332 units.
