Iran's Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade has issued new regulations and conditions for exports and imports, while the exports of wheat are still banned

The ministry has set the new conditions for exports and imports in a letter to Customs Administration of Iran, Trend reports citing Fars News Agency.

"The conditions provide that all agricultural and food products should be examined after issuing quarantine certification," the letter says.

"Export of wheat is prohibited, while exports of DOP goods are to be banned from May 22. The export of BOPP goods is allowed after confirmation by Deputy Minister of Industrial Affairs and according to the domestic needs," the document reads. "Export of briquettes is allowed under the conditions that it is approved by the Institute of Standards and Industrial Research of Iran."

Following the US sanctions, Iran banned import of nearly 1,340 items, which are considered non-essential goods and can be replaced by domestic counterparts. In the meantime, the Custom Administration banned export of 18 agricultural products.
