Uzbekistan becomes leader in importing cars from Russia

In the first half of 2019, more than a quarter of cars from Russia were exported to Uzbekistan, Trend reports with reference to the Russian analytical agency Avtostat.

In 1H2019, 19,500 cars were sent from Russia to other countries which is 37 percent more than in the same period of the previous year.

The first place was taken by Uzbekistan. From January to June, about 4,300 cars of Russian assembly were shipped to this country.

The second major export destination is the Czech Republic, which last year held a leading position. In the first half of 2019, 4,000 cars were sent to this country. Latvia occupies the third place with an indicator of 3,000 export vehicles.

According to the analytical agency, Russian-made cars are also exported to Azerbaijan – 2,100 cars in the first half of the year, Slovakia (851 cars), Ukraine (787 cars), Serbia (688 cars), Hungary (626 cars), Bulgaria (355 cars) and Mongolia (302 cars).

The countries of the Eurasian Economic Union were not taken into account in the calculation.
