In the second quarter of 2020, movable and immovable property appropriated by Georgian Liberty Bank amounted to 43,120 laris ($14,093) against 59,635 laris ($19,491) in the same period of the previous year, Trend reports via the data financial statements of the bank.
As reported, the total assets of Liberty Bank in this period made 2.45 billion laris ($800.7 million).
In the second quarter of 2019, the total assets of the bank amounted to 1.99 billion laris ($650.4 million).
Meanwhile, in the second quarter of 2020, movable and immovable assets appropriated by the five biggest banks - Bank of Georgia, TBC, Liberty Bank, VTB, and Basisbank amounted to 197.2 million laris ($64.4 million).
As of August 1, 2020, the banking sector in Georgia is represented by 15 commercial banks, including 14 foreign-controlled banks.
The banking sector's equity capital equals 5.28 billion laris ($17.2 billion), which makes up 10.32 percent of the commercial banks' total assets.
