German company to place orders for tailoring products in Uzbek textile factories

An agreement was reached on the possibility of placing orders for a German Olymp Bezner KG men's clothing manufacturing company for sewing products at textile factories in Uzbekistan, Trend reports with reference to Uzbekistan textile and garment industry association.

In Germany, representatives of the Uztekstilprom Association, the Agency for Marketing and Advertising of Textile Products, as well as heads of a number of domestic textile factories held online negotiations with the Director for Production and Purchases of the German company Olymp Bezner KG Johann Trishberger.

During the negotiations, a presentation was made of the potential of the textile industry of Uzbekistan, ongoing projects with the introduction of a cluster form of organizing cotton and textile production with the involvement of highly qualified foreign specialists, as well as long-term plans for the further development of Uzbekistan.

Trishberger highly appreciated the large-scale reforms carried out in Uzbekistan in order to create a favorable business climate in the country, and also noted the huge potential of the republic in the textile industry.

In particular, the possibility of manufacturing the products of the Olymp Bezner KG Company in Uzbekistan was noted.

Founded in 1951 by Eugen Bezner, Olymp Bezner KG is now one of the world's leading manufacturers of men's shirts. The company also produces ties, polo shirts, and casual wear under the world-famous brands OLYMP and Maybach.

From January through August 2020, cotton yarn was exported to Germany in the amount of $0.7 million, cotton fabrics $0.5 million, hosiery $0.5 million, sewing, and knitwear products $2.6 million.
