Electricity facilities launched in Iran’s Bushehr and Fars provinces

Six electricity facilities were launched in the southern Iranian provinces of Bushehr and Fars at a cost of 651 billion rials (about $15.5 million) yesterday on March 2, Trend reports citing the Ministry of Energy of Iran.

According to the report, a 230-kilovolt Bushehr 2 substation and the Rudhale substation have been upgraded in Iran's Bushehr Province. A total of 260 billion rials (about $6.19 million) were spent on these substations.

“The capacity of two power plants in the Darab and Doroodzan counties of Iran's Fars Province has been increased from 15 megawatts to 40 megawatts. A total of 260 billion rials (about $6.19 million) were spent on these power plants,” the report said.

In addition, a 1.9-megawatt small-scale power plant has been launched in the Marvdasht County of Iran's Fars Province. About 131 billion rials (about $3.12 million) were spent on the construction of this power plant, the report said.

Yesterday, 20 water and electricity facilities were launched in 6 provinces of Iran and 83 villages in 17 provinces have been supplied with electricity. A total of 5.8 trillion rials (about $138 million) was spent on these operations.
