BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 10. In total, 1.54 million tons of goods worth about $650 million were exported through the customs of the Kermanshah Province (western Iran), during the first three months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through June 21, 2022), Customs Inspector of the Kermanshah Province Customs Office, Bakhtiar Rahmanipour told Young Journalists Club (YJC), Trend reports.

Rahmanipour noted that export increased by 8 percent in value compared to the same period last Iranian year.

He added that the goods were mainly exported through Parvizkhan, Khosravi and Sumar customs of the province.

“Within 3 months, Iran exported $1.49 billion worth of goods to Iraq through its land border customs. Of this, about $635 million worth of goods were exported through the customs of Kermanshah Province,” he said.

According to Rahmanipour, the main exported goods via province’s customs were ceramics, fittings, fruits and vegetables, construction materials, and etc.

“Furthermore, 2,940 tons of goods worth about $10.9 million were imported through the customs of Kermanshah Province in 3 months, which is a decrease of 64 percent in value and 73 percent in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year,” the official said.

The imported goods were mainly aluminum, equipment and spare parts.
