Today credit portfolio of non-banking credit agency CredAgro amounts $100k, the company officials told Trend. CredAgro launched its services in November 2005, selecting Masalli and Jabrail the pilot areas. Now the agency operates in Baku and Khachmaz.
According to CredAgros terms, agricultural technique, processing equipment and trucks are leased for up to three years at 21-28% annual interest.
The agency officials say the credit portfolio may get increased upon receiving EBRDs credit. Today is its quite insignificant compared to credit portfolio in amount of $5.3mln. The credits have been issued since 2002 at cost of USAIDs grant to CredAgro. Last year said credit agency has obtained a $80k credit from Swiss Dexia / Blue Orchard. CredAgros charter capital, like that of all non-banking credit agencies, amounts $5k.
