The law On freedom of assembly will be discussed at the fall session of Milli Majlis [Azerbaijani Parliament]. After the repeat discussion of the bill in the permanent commission of parliament on human rights, legal policy and state creation, it will be presented to the confirmation of deputies, Trend reports.

Several deputies protested against the additions to the bill, which implied polices use of rubber baton, electro-convulsive devices, rubber patrons, service horses and dogs and tear-gas while suppressing the protest actions.

PM Sabir Hajiyev, the chairman of the Civil Unity Party, told that the bill should base on the world practice. He noted that it needs to use the forces of the state bodies for preventing the unapproved actions. The meetings are held in each country. And it needs to use the experience of laws of other countries to prevent the unauthorized meeting. Azerbaijan shouldnt differ from them, told Hajiyev.
