Bulgarias joining the project of container train PotiBakuAktauAstana will play a positive role in the project development, TRACECA national secretary from Azerbaijan Akif Mustafayev told Trend.
Mustafayev said today port of Burgas planned for use in this project is transshipping up to 15,000 containers. Part of this load might be carried by container train.
At the moment Romania is also interested in the project and is even going to use port of Constantsa it it. This, Mustafayev says, one more time confirms the project expedience and is viability.
Azerbaijani Transport Minister Ziya Mamedov said the train operation is resumed in August this year.
The train operators are Black Sea Transit LTD and Advantage international transport and logistics LTD.
First time container train was launched December 24, 2005. This train shall promote shippers attraction in China and Europe.
