AZPROMO, the Azerbaijan Export and Investments Encouragement Fund is about to found an Alliance of Oil Services Exporters in the first quarter of 2007. Teymur Taghiyev, Marketing manager of Export Encouragement of AZPROMO, told Trend that due to the great demand, Azerbaijan oil services are expected to be first exported to Kazakhstan market.

Kazakhstan is the country which is located on the other Caspian cost. It has good relations with Azerbaijan both politically and economically. We have the common sphere of the activity. This is oil. Presently Azerbaijan is completing several oil projects being implemented by foreign companies, thereby we export high skilled personnel to Kazakhstan, said Mr. Taghiyev. There are a number of Azerbaijani companies which are subcontractors of BP in Azerbaijan. They have corresponding experience and international certificates on rendering oil services.

Our objective is to bring them to the Kazakhstan market, and then to the markets of other countries which are engaged in oil production. We find this very perspective and interesting project, thinks Mr. Taghiyev.

The project on foundation of the Alliance of Oil Services Exporters is underway. Recently, an Azerbaijani delegation headed by Heydar Babayev, Azerbaijan Economic Development Minister visited Kazakhstan where it discussed the potential of the oil services export from Azerbaijan. According to the AZPROMO representative, just this issue was one of the key topics during the visit.
