Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend S.Babayeva / Melioration and Water Economy OSC of Azerbaijan stated that it has invited to participate in the initial assessment over the project on construction of the canal Velvelchay-Takhtakorpu.
The construction of canal Velvelchay-Takhtakorpu will commence from the 50 km of Samur Apsheron canal and last till reservoir Takhtakorpu in Devechi district of Azerbaijan. The capacity of the canal is envisaged at the level of 75 cu.m/s. The construction of the canal is expected to be completed within three years. Those interested in participating in the project should pay AZN 400 and submit their documents till 27 March.
The project will be financed at the expense of the credits of Saudi Development Fund, Islamic Development Bank, International Development Fund OPEC and Government of Azerbaijan.
