Georgia, Tbilisi, 22 January / corr Trend N.Kitzkhalia / On 22 January Tbilisi will host the signing of an agreement between the Millennium Challenges of Georgia and the Oil and Gas Construction Trust of Azerbaijan, making the latter eligible to supply pipes and other material in the amount of $6.4mln, the Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation said.
The agreement is signed within the framework of the second phase of the rehabilitation of Georgia's main gas pipelines to be realized this summer. This plan envisages the construction of new main pipelines in nine sections with a total length of 7km.
Georgia will receive a total of $49mln from the US-financed Foundation for the program to rehabilitate the infrastructure of the North-South main pipelines.
The Oil and Gas Construction Trust will carry out the first phase of the rehabilitation work.
