Azerbaijan, Baku, 7 July / Trend / In January to June, Baku Oil Refinery named after Heydar Aliyev (former Azerneftyanajag) produced nearly 78,000 tons of oil coke as compared to 12,300 tons in January to June 2007, SOCAR said.
The gross oil coke production in 2007 made up 85,000 tons.
In 2006, 67,240 tons of oil coke was produced, but in 2005 the enterprise did not produce coke. The key consumers of the oil coke produced in Azerbaijan are Russian aluminum plants.
