The Azerbaijani company SOCAR-Georgia Gas continues supplying gas to Georgian. The first stage of providing gas to Khashuri in eastern Georgia ended today.
A ceremony dedicated to the end of the project's first stage this week wass attended by Georgian Energy Minister Alexander Khetaguri and SOCAR Energy Georgia head Mahir Mammadov.
According to company representatives, 1,300 subscribers will be connected to the gas supply in the city.
SOCAR-Georgia Gas has completed activities to provide gas to several villages in Georgia. Up to 75,000 subscribers will receive Azerbaijani gas by the end of the year.
As Khetaguri stated, the company is conducting systematic work and fulfilling its obligations.
"The project is being realized under a presidential program and serves to relieve the social burden of the population," he said.
