Nearly 4.3 million tons of raw materials were sent to the Turkmenbashi Refinery from fields in the country's western regions in January-August.

The figure exceeds the planned production schedule by over 275,000 tons.

The facility recently underwent radical reconstruction worth $1.5 billion.

The construction was carried out by Merhav (Israel), Technip (France-Germany), NINIOK (Iran), and GJC, Itochu (Japan) and Gama (Turkey).

An installation has also been commissioned for hydro treating, catalytic reforming and millisecond catalytic cracking to produce high octane gasoline.

The refinery also recently began producing oils for diesel and gasoline engines, as well as gear and industrial oils. It also began to produce for the first time unleaded gasoline, polypropylene, and liquefied gas.

The refinery produces about 2,500 tons of high octane gasoline, about 1,000 tons of liquefied gas used to produce polypropylene and 550 tons of light gas oil catalytic cracking.
