The strategy for the effective management of hydrocarbon resources will be developed in Kazakhstan, Kazakh Oil and Gas Minister Sauat Mynbayev said at a meeting in the Majilis (the lower house of the parliament) today.
"The strategy for the effective management of hydrocarbon resources will be developed in Kazakhstan," Mynbaev said.
He recalled that in his message to the Kazakh people dated December 14, 2012, the president set a number of tasks for the oil and gas sector.
"The strategy is planned to be worked out for their implementation," he said. "Morever, it is planned to create a strategic reserve of hydrocarbons."
He stressed that special attention will be paid to attracting foreign investments, transfers and the use of new technologies in the oil and gas industry.
"It is also important to diversify investments in the processing of raw materials, production of goods with high technological content and added value," he said.
