Kazakh Ministry of Energy plans to create an online system for petroleum products trading

Baku, Azerbaijan, March 1
By Elena Kosolapova – Trend:
Kazakh Ministry of Energy plans to create an online system for petroleum products trading, Sputnik Kazakhstan news agency quoted Energy Minister Kanat Bozumbayev as saying.

"We plan to sell all kinds of petroleum products through online trading system in the coming years,” Bozumbayev said at the meeting of the ministry’s staff March 1.

The minister said that first of all it is planned to launch online sales of liquefied natural gas. He noted that domestic and export prices for liquefied natural gas differ by 5-7 times which leads to appearance of shadow export and liquefied natural gas shortage on the domestic market. Online sales should help to solve this problem.

Bozumbayev said that it is planned to amend some laws until the end of the year for insuring sales through online system.
