SOCAR-AQS LLC has started drilling a new well at Azerbaijan’s Western Absheron field in the Caspian Sea, the company told Trend May 17.
“The well #32 will be drilled from the platform #20 at the Western Absheron field,” the company said. “The projected depth of the well is 740 meters.”
The Western Absheron field is owned by SOCAR’s Absheronneft Oil & Gas Extraction Department. SOCAR-AQS carries out the drilling operations at the field.
SOCAR-AQS was established in 2007 by SOCAR and Absheron Drilling as a joint venture, rendering integrated services for drilling and well servicing.
