Turkmenistan generated 14.169 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity in January-July 2017, and the growth rate reached 103.8 percent compared to the same period last year, country’s Energy Ministry said.
Electricity export amounted to 2.231 billion kilowatt-hours at a growth rate of 102.8 percent, according to the information.
Turkmenistan exports electricity to Iran, Afghanistan and Turkey. Prospects of deliveries to countries of the South Caucasus, Central and South Asia are being studied.
