SOCAR allocations to state budget up 15%

Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR allocated 914.57 million manats (1.7008 AZN/USD on Aug. 8) to the state budget in January-July 2017, which is by 15.9 percent (125.63 million manats) more than in the same period of last year, SOCAR said in a message Aug. 8.

In July, SOCAR transferred 128.95 million manats to the state budget, which is by 1.4 percent (1.76 million manats) more than in the same period of 2016.

In January-July 2017, SOCAR transferred 87.25 million manats to the State Social Protection Fund (SSPF) of Azerbaijan, which is by 6.9 percent (5.64 million manats) more than in the same period of 2016.

In July 2017, transfers to the SSPF amounted to 12.96 million manats compared to 12.08 million manats transferred by SOCAR a year earlier.

SOCAR includes such production associations as Azneft (enterprises producing oil and gas onshore and offshore), Azerkimya (chemical enterprises) and Azerigas (distributor of gas), as well as oil and gas processing plants, service companies and the facilities involved in geophysical and drilling operations.
