The three-day meeting of the high-ranking experts of the energy sectors of Azerbaijan, Russia and Iran started on 19 July in Baku, the JSC Azerenerji press service told Trend. Issues, principles and details of the three countries’ energy systems synchronization will be discussed at the meeting.
According to the JSC Azerenerji chief engineer Marlen Askerov, each of the sides developed technical proposals, under which the parallel operation of the energy networks may be practically implemented.
On 26 October 2004, a project of synchronization of the energy networks of the three countries was signed in Tehran between Azerbaijan, Russia and Iran.
