SOCAR starts export of diesel fuel to Georgia
The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) set up export of diesel fuel to Georgia under the contract with the Georgian state company Saknavtobtrans (former Gruzneftetrans), the SOCAR told Trend.
The diesel fuel is produced at the Baku-based oil refinery plant named after Heydar Aliyev. Saknavtobtrans is a traditionally biggest buyer of the Azerbaijan oil products in Georgia.
The SOCAR said that in 2006 it is planned to deliver to Saknavtobtrans 10,000 tons of diesel fuel. Late last year the SOCAR and Saknavtobtrans agreed upon delivery of gasoline to Georgia. Gasoline, produced at Heydar Aliyev Oil Refinery Plant will be exported to Georgia from March 2006 in the volume of 20,000 tons per month.
