Azeri Light oil is shipped to the first tanker in port Ceyhan upon completion of its loading to one of terminal tanks, Trend reports with reference to Р'Р Azerbaijan. The oil was pumped via Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline (BTC).
Capacity of loaded tank is some 1mln bbl. There are seven tanks of the kind at the terminal to be loaded further.
The company officials said the tanker loading will start the soonest as it is departing at the end of the week. At the moment some pre-commissioning operations are being performed at Ceyhan terminal.
There are some 150 to 170k bbl of oil being pumped to BTC a day. By the end of the year this amount will be raised to 300 to 500k bbl. Several more tankers are shipped in June.
