The pipeline company BTC Co has concluded the fulfillment of the reservoirs at the Ceyhan port with the Azerbaijani oil in the amount necessary for shipment of the first tanker with deadweight of 85,000 tons, the Turkish Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources told Trend.
The fulfillment of the first tanker The British Hawtharne at Ceyhan is expected to start on 2 June. The first oil batch delivered via the BTC was purchased the US company ExxonMobil.
According to the Turkish media on 31 May Ankara hosted a meeting of the Turkish Minister for Energy and Natural Resources, Hilmi Guler with the leadership of BOTAS BTC and representatives of the Gendarmerie and coastal guard of Turkey. The talks focused strengthening of measures on security measures in safeguarding the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline.
