The prices for precious metals in Azerbaijan on August 11 began to rise again after depreciation on Aug. 10, with the exception of gold, the price of which at least slowed down the rate of decline, Trend reports referring to the data published by the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
The price of gold fell by 18.4535 manat or 0.5 percent and amounted to 3,431.833 manat per ounce.
The price of silver went up by 1.4212 manat or 3 percent per ounce and amounted to 49.1385 manat.
The price of platinum rose by 11.696 manat or 0.7 percent and amounted to 1,671.627 manat per ounce.
The price of palladium grew by 108.8 manat or 2.9 percent and amounted to 3,811.111 manat per ounce.
In monthly terms, the price of gold soared by 369.6935 manat or 12.1 percent, per ounce of silver surged by 17.4921 manat or 55.3 percent, platinum soared by 252.875 manat or 17.8 percent per ounce, and palladium spiked by 504.084 manat or 15.2 percent.

Precious metals are gold, silver, platinum and metals of platinum group (palladium, iridium, ruthenium, rhodium, and osmium) brought to the highest fineness (999.9).
The precious metals are sold as ingots, coins or powder and have the appropriate quality certificates.
Troy ounce is a unit of mass equal to 31.1034768 grams.
