Kazakhstan's national telecommunications operator to pay out 2020 dividends

Kazakhstan’s Kazakhtelecom company, which is a national telecommunications operator, is planning to pay dividends for 2020, Trend reports citing the company’s statement published by Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE).

The company said that the dividend payments on the privileged shares will be made over the period from Dec. 25 through Dec. 28, 2020.

The payments will amount to 300 tenge (approximately $0.7 based on current exchange rate) per share.

The list of shareholders eligible to receive payments was made as of 00:00 (GMT +6) on Dec. 6, 2020.

Established on June 17, 1994, Kazakhtelecom JSC is the largest telecommunications company in Kazakhstan, has the status of a national telecommunications operator.

The main offices are in Nur-Sultan and Almaty, regional offices in all parts of Kazakhstan.

Since the middle of the 2000s, Kazakhtelecom JSC has consistently held high positions in the rating of the most profitable enterprises of the country with an annual turnover of tens of billions of tenge.

Kazakhtelecom JSC owns the National Information Superhighway, which is a transport fiber-optic ring that connects large cities of Kazakhstan with digital streams with high data transmission speed.
