Tashkent to host Regional Communications Cooperation conference

On March 19-20, Tashkent will host the Regional Communications Cooperation (RCC), the Uzbek Communication and Information Agency reported.

A wide range of issues are expected to be reviewed at the conference, including the stability of communications in unstable economic terms.

The development of state e-services in RCC participating countries will be discussed under the chairmanship of Uzbek Communication and Information Agency Scientific and Technical and Marketing Investigation Director Makhsum Makhmudov and members of the RCC on communications economy.

The agenda also includes rendering of universal communications services, state support to postal communications operators, to reduce data risks and etc.

The conference participants will also approve the RCC mission's 2009-2010 working draft.

The RCC was established by CIS Communications administration heads in Moscow on Dec. 17, 1991.
