Azerpocht's strategy envisages introduction of new financial-bank services and increase of profitability by late 2009, Azerbaijani Communication and IT Minister Ali Abbasov said at ceremonial event on occasion of 135-anniversary of World Post Day in Communication Department on October 9.
Abbasov said that there will be an opportunity to reduce expenses and increase profit as a result of Azerpocht's development within the project to increase potential of the enterprise.
Modern post constantly develops, takes into account the most modern technologies, including information-communication ones and diversifies its activity. Communication and IT Minister spoke about broad opportunities and post's role in the society today, new technologies used in post designed to provide citizens with a variety of necessary services.
According to the ministry, the enterprise's activity will be fully profitable from 2010. Profit will hit 20 percent from 2011.
