Azerbaijan Participates in Meeting of Heads of CIS Communications Administrations

Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend / The meeting of the heads of the CIS Communications Administrations was held on 29 May in Yurmala ( Latvia) within the framework of the 37th sitting of the Council of Regional Commonwealth in Communications (RCC).

According to the Russian Ministry of IT and Communications, the meeting was presided over by the Chairman of the RCC Council, Russian IT and Communications Minister, Leonid Reyman.

Along with Azerbaijan the meeting was attended by Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Armenia, as well as representatives of the CIS Executive Committee and Zonal Office of the International Telecommunications Union for CIS countries in Moscow.

Recognizing the necessity fora level of security in radio communications, the Council approved the 'Guidelines on Co-operation of RCC Communications Administrations with Radio Control and joint Research of Obstacles'.

Furthermore, the exchange of data on the introduction and commercial exploitation of multi-service telecommunications services will be continued at the RCC meeting.

Azerbaijan was represented at the meeting by a delegation from the Ministry of Communications and IT headed by the Minister, Ali Abbasov.
