The number of Uzbek tourists visiting Turkey over the past 16 years (2002-2017) has increased by 9.5 times, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Turkey told Trend.
The ministry noted that, 195 745 tourists from Uzbekistan visited Turkey just during 2017.
The share of Uzbek citizens in the total number of foreigners who visited Turkey in 2017 was 0.6 percent.
The ministry also noted that 193 368 tourists from Uzbekistan arrived in Turkey by air, 2,226 tourists - by road, 151 tourists - by rail and sea during 2017.
"Turkey recorded the smallest number of tourists from Uzbekistan in 2003," the ministry said.
