A new railway cargo traffic route opened between Shandong Province (East China) and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) countries, the report says.
The first train with 45 containers departed from the intermodal transport centre in Qingdao City on April 27.
The train, loaded with excavators and soil planners worth 20 million yuan ($2.8 million), is expected to arrive in Almaty, Kazakhstan, in eight days.
Due to the intermodal transport center in Qingdao, which serves as a cargo distribution center, railway trains will deliver goods to more than 30 cities in SCO countries, including Tashkent, Minsk and Ulaanbaatar, each month.
The SCO is comprised of eight member states - India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
