Tax rates on the minerals extraction are proposed to increase in Kazakhstan, Minister of National Economy Alibek Kuantirov said during a meeting of the Supreme Council for Reforms, Trend reports via Akorda.
Tax rates on the extraction of minerals are proposed to increase by an average of 3 times for all types of solid minerals in order to ensure additional revenues to the state budget, which will increase budget revenues by 300 billion tenge ($612,2 million), he noted.
Minister also suggested introducing measures aimed at curbing the withdrawal of capital and increasing the taxation of the profits of foreign companies and digital mining. Additional revenues to the state budget are intended to provide control measures for transfer pricing, strengthening customs, and tax control.
