Sanzharbek Bakiyev sentenced to 10 years’ imprisonment in medium security colony

Sanzharbek Bakiyev was sentenced to ten years' imprisonment in a medium-security (strengthened regime) colony. Today the Military Court of Bishkek garrison completed the process on mass riots in the city of Jalal-Abad.

Sanzharbek Bakiyev was sentenced to ten years' imprisonment in a medium-security (strengthened regime) colony. Today the Military Court of Bishkek garrison completed the process on mass riots in the city of Jalal-Abad, news agency "24.kg" reported.

Another person involved, Bektursun Keldibekov was sentenced to eight years' imprisonment in a medium-security colony. He and Sanzharbek Bakiyev were freed from a charge of two Articles "Murder" and "Attempted murder".

Bazarbai Azyrkulov was freed of Article 330 of the Criminal Code charge. He will serve sentence in the colony. Another two accused - Zenruyev and Erakhmedov - received conditional sentence.

Besides, all the accused must compensate financial damage caused to Jalal-Abad regional administration in the amount of 788,000 KGS and to the Department of Internal Affairs - 5,000 KGS.
