Brother of ex-President of Kyrgyzstan, Akhmat Bakiyev is sentenced to 7 years in high security prison, 24.kg reported. The Spokesman for the Supreme Court Bakytbek Rysaliev informs.

He said that the judge of the Military Court Nurlan Musaev adjudged Akhmat Bakiyev guilty according to articles of the Kyrgyz Criminal Code: "Property acquisition through fraud", "Organization of illegal armed band", "Group hooliganism", "Illegal keeping of arms", "Illegal acquisition of arm blanche".

As it was reported earlier, Jalal-Abad city court examined the criminal case of the brother of ex-President of Kyrgyzstan, Akhmat Bakiyev. He was charged with grave crimes: organizing mass riots, inciting ethnic hostility, organizing illegal armed band, extortion, illegal acquisition and keeping of arms, seizure of lands, and capital construction on lands of the forestry fund.
