BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 1. Tajikistan from January through August 2022 increased imports of textile products from Uzbekistan, Trend reports referring to the State Committee of Uzbekistan on Statistics.
According to the Committee, the value of textile products exports from Uzbekistan to Tajikistan in the first 8 months of 2022 totaled $28.1 million, which is almost 2.5 times more than in the same period of 2021 ($11.3 million).
During this period, the largest share of Uzbek exports of textile products fell on Russia ($823.7 million), followed by Türkiye ($410.7 million) and Kyrgyzstan ($307.5 million).
The total export of goods and services from Uzbekistan to Tajikistan from January through August 2022 increased by 5.3 percent over the same period in 2021 ($293.2 million) - up to $308.8 million.
Meanwhile, the trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan in the first 8 months of this year reached $411.4 million, which is an increase of 15.2 percent compared to the same period of last year ($357.1 million).
