Turkmenistan’s Trade and Foreign Economic Relations Minister severely reprimanded

Turkmen Minister of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations Bayar Abaev was severely reprimanded by the order of Turkmenistan's President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Turkmen television reported on Wednesday.
According to the report, the reprimand was announced for the improper performance of official duties, weakening of control over the condition of country's markets and failure to comply with fire safety regulations in the markets.
The reason for reprimand was a local fire occurred on August 6 in the central Dayhan market of Dashoguz city of the regional center of Dashoguz velayat (region). Thanks to the operative measures the fire was quickly extinguished. There were no victims.
The report said that additional measures were taken to prevent such incidents and to implement Turkmen President's strict requirements in relation to the heads of all ministries, departments and regions on ensuring increased fire protection in the current high temperatures.
Earlier during a government meeting the Turkmen President focused attention on provision of fire prevention at the enterprises of the country.
