UAE, Afghanistan buy aviation kerosene from Turkmenistan

United Arab Emirates and Afghanistan have bought aviation kerosene, straight-run petrol, gasoline, liquefied gas, produced at the Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries, at the auction of the State Commodity Exchange of Turkmenistan last week, Trend reports with reference to Turkmenistan Today State News Agency.

In general, 37 transactions were registered at the auction of State Commodity Exchange of Turkmenistan last week, for both foreign currency and the Turkmen manat.

Polyethylene of various brands manufactured at Turkmenistan’s Turkmengas State Concern became the subject of transactions of entrepreneurs from Russia, the UAE, and Afghanistan.

Businessmen from Russia, Great Britain, Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Kyrgyzstan also purchased smooth-colored and jacquard terry products and cotton yarn for foreign currency. The total amount of transactions exceeded $10.3 million.

Entrepreneurs from the UAE and Turkey purchased carpet products and cotton yarn for a total amount of more than 7.8 million manat ($2.2 million).

Menawhile, polypropylene was purchased for the domestic market in the amount of 2.2 million manat (over $629,000).

The state commodity exchange of Turkmenistan was established on July 29, 1994. It is the most important body of state regulation of export-import operations.
