Uzbekistan, Tashkent, Sept. 19 / Trend D. Azizov /

The law on judicial remedial legislation has entered into force in Uzbekistan. A number of regulations have been changed to further reform the judicial system.

The law was passed by the Legislative (lower) chamber of the Uzbek parliament in July, approved by the upper house - the Senate in August. The law was published in the national press on Wednesday. According to the final article, it enters into force from the date of publication.

Among the main changes made to the Criminal Procedure Code, Economic Procedure Code and the Law on "Prosecutor's Office", are the rules. According to them, the court's right to file a criminal case has been ruled out.

Moreover, announcing the indictment at the first instance court is the sole responsibility of the public prosecutor.

Using such measures of procedural enforcement, as the dismissal and transferring a person to a medical facility are implemented after a judge's approval at the pre-trial stage.
