The possibilities of expanding cooperation in the field of judiciary were discussed between the leadership of Uzbekistan's Supreme Court and the US delegation led by Jeremy Fogel, director of the US Federal Judicial Center, the message from Uzbek Supreme Court said.
During the meeting at the Supreme Court, the sides exchanged views on the priority areas of cooperation. They stressed the mutual interests in the further development of cooperation and implementation of joint projects.
The representatives of the US delegation reaffirmed that the US is ready to help Uzbekistan in carrying out reforms in the judiciary sphere, in analyzing the current legislation and in training judges.
In recent times, three delegations from Uzbekistan have visited the US to study the experience in legal proceedings in this country. These delegations included the employees of the judicial bodies, Supreme Court and representatives of Uzbek Senate (upper house of the parliament).
