An earthquake struck the Mehran city in the the southern Iranian province of Ilam today, Fars reported.
According to the Seismological Center of the Tehran Geophysics Institute the tremors were recorded at 08:56 local time. Underground tremors measuring 3.9-magnitutude tremors were felt mainly in the Mehran city. No damage or casualties were registered.
Several earthquakes have hit the Iranian province of Ilam since early 2009. The natural disaster has caused damage to the houses.
