The United Nations Secretary General, Ban Ki-moon, is looking forward to resumption of talks between Iran and the Vienna Group, according to a UN official.

The United Nations Secretary General, Ban Ki-moon, is looking forward to resumption of talks between Iran and the Vienna Group, according to a UN official, IRNA reported.

Talking to reporters in New York, the United Nations Secretary General Speaker, Martin Nitschke, said the UN Chief has always been favoring resumption of the talks and agreement in that connection.

On Iran's letter to the IAEA, Nitschke said the letter has something to do with the Vienna Group. "So let's see what they have to say."

Meanwhile, Iran's Ambassador and permanent representative to the IAEA, Ali-Asghar Soltanieh, on Monday delivered to the IAEA Chief, Yukia Amano, Iran's official letter, in which Tehran had announced its readiness for negotiations with the Vienna Group on exchange of fuel for Tehran Research Reactor.

Meanwhile, the IAEA Spokesperson, Gill Tudor, confirming the matter, announced in Vienna on Monday, "The IAEA Director General, Yukiya Amano, today received a letter from the government of Iran concerning talks on provision of nuclear fuel for the Tehran Research Reactor."
