Iran denies it sends weaponry to Sudan
Iran has vehemently rejected news reports recently published by certain Western media outlets claiming that it sends weaponry to Sudan, Mehr reported.
There is a hidden agenda behind such false reports, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ramin Mehmanparast said on Friday.
Iran's principled policy is to help prevent war and violence, Mehmanparast said, adding that negotiation is the only appropriate way to settle disputes between countries.
He also stated that the "hegemonistic powers" are making efforts to divert attention from their failure to achieve the objectives they had been pursuing through imposing sanctions on the Islamic Republic and hindering the country's progress in various spheres.
