A 29-year-old man accused of stealing, had his hand chopped off publicly in the city of Shiraz, in the Islamic Republic of Iran.
According to the Shiraz prosecutor's office, the defendant, a member of a group of 10, was stealing in Shiraz at various points of time.
According to the court's decision, the defendant will have to return all stolen goods to the owners. He will be imprisoned for three years.
