Official: Not all Iran’s problems stem from sanctions
Baku, Azerbaijan, Sept. 14
By Elnur Baghishov - Trend:
Not all Iran’s problems stem from the US sanctions, though they have certainly created some difficulties for the Iranian economy, said Hamid Zadbom, head of Iran's Trade Promotion Organization, Trend reports citing Tasnim news agency Sept. 14.
He added that economic development requires shifts in production and export.
“Export development is important for all countries,” he said. “However, for Iran, which is dependent on crude oil exports, this issue is of particular importance.”
He noted the development of non-oil exports is an indispensable necessity for the development of the Iranian economy.
The trade promotion organization has developed a number of plans, and in these plans, increasing trade with neighboring countries holds a specific place, he said.
