(RIA Novosti) - U.S. Undersecretary of State Richard Boucher has arrived in Tajikistan on a two-day working visit, a U.S. Dushanbe Embassy spokesman said Friday.
Boucher, who is in charge of the State Department's relations with South and Central Asian countries, is set to meet with Tajik President Emomali Rakhmonov and Foreign Minister Talbak Nazarov.
They will discuss bilateral relations and cooperation ahead of the November 6 presidential elections in the Central Asian republic, the spokesman said.
The diplomat is also expected to meet with representatives of civil society, the spokesman said, reports Trend.
